1852 N-8 R2 PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous mint red mellowing to steel brown on the devices with about half the original mint color remaining visible, mostly on the reverse. The best identifying marks are a tiny, barely visible speck of darker toning between star 12 and the curl to the left and another at the left top of the E in AMERICA. EDS, die state a, before any die cracks. Our grade is MS64, tied with several other examples for CC#4 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Pop 3; 6 finer, 3 in 65, 1 in 65+, 2 in 66. Estimate Value $500 - UP
