1818 N-8 R3 AU55. Sharpness very close to mint state but this cent was lightly cleaned and nicely retoned glossy chocolate brown gently mottled with a slightly lighter shade of chocolate on the obverse. The surfaces are smooth and free of any notable marks. Excellent eye appeal. Late die state with a series of rim cud breaks at star 5 and stars 7-8. The cuds at stars 5 & 8 extend slightly beyond the dentils into the field. Called MS60 and tied for CC#2 in the Bland census. Noyes photo #35141. Estimated Value $800 - UP
