1843 N-2 R1 Petite Head, Small Letters PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown on the devices with more than a third of the mint color remaining visible on both sides. A beautiful cent, nearly gem except for a small spot of corrosion on the dentils and rim over ER in AMERICA. E-MDS, die state a, with a weak but visible rim cud break over UN and a tiny one over the adjacent I in UNITED. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#4 honors for the variety in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 1 finer in 65. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
