Lot 574

1818 N-4 R4+ VF20. Sharpness VF30 but covered with uniform extremely fine granularity under slightly glossy dark chocolate brown and steel toning. No verdigris and the only mark is a thin vertical nick on the bust over the first 1. Late die state with strong swelling and die clashmarks on the obverse. The radial die crack through star 3 is strong and it reaches halfway from the star to the mouth. The O in ONE is faint, nearly gone thanks to the swelling on the obverse.
