1864. NGC graded Proof 65. Well struck as expected for a proof, and fully white with no toning beyond a soft golden glow. As the Civil War dragged on few of these important proof silver dollars were sold, and of the modest number struck, many were later lost or mishandled. Here is one of the finer examples seen today, and a true gem that will delight its next owner. Identifiable by a tiny speck on the upper left of the N in ONE. Only 470 struck.
