Lot 564

1808 S-277 R2 PCGS graded VF30. Frosty steel brown and olive with lighter steel brown toning in some of the protected areas. Flowline luster shows in protected areas on the reverse. The surfaces are a bit dull from a layer of natural oxidation, and this cent looks like it has never been brushed. No roughness or verdigris and the only mark is a small nick or planchet chip in the field below the chin. LDS, the latest seen, Breen state IX. The die cracks on the reverse are strong, a small internal cud break shows inside the top of the D in UNITED, and there are rim cuds over that N and ED. Our grade is VF25. Estimated Value $500 - UP

Realized $1,440
