Lot 562

1802 S-252 R2 PCGS graded AU50, CAC Approved. Very attractive glossy medium steel brown with frosty lighter brown and tan in protected areas, especially on the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and nearly flawless showing just a light touch of friction on the highpoints. The only marks, and they are insignificant, are a spot of darker chocolate toning in the field off the end of the nose, a spot of shallow crud nestled into the wreath below TE in UNITED, and a small nick-like planchet chip under the left side of the O in ONE. MDS, Breen state V, showing die cracks on both sides and die clashmarks on the reverse. Our grade is EF40. Estimated Value $1,500 - UP
