Lot 559

1800 S-200 R3 VF25+. Sharpness VF35 but there is a short scratch in the field near the rim before the face, a minor rim bruise below the 00 in the date, and a small rim bruise or dull rim nick over OF. The scratch does catch your eye but the other defects do not and overall the eye appeal of this cent is nice. Frosty uniform dark steel and olive brown with satiny fields in protected areas. MDS, Breen state III, with an obvious bulge at STAT and die clashmarks on the reverse but no die crack on the obverse. A decent example of a variety that seldom comes this nice; at the lower end of the condition census. Estimated Value $1,000 - UP

Realized $1,620
