1839 Coronet Head Cent. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. Lustrous light steel brown with very faded mint color in protected areas on both sides. No spots or stains. The best identifying marks are two tiny planchet chips or pinpricks on the rim between the date and star 13 and a small mark on the rim above star 5. LDS, the obverse fields flowlined and the depression in the field between star 1 and the throat clearly visible. The outer berry under AM is faint, nearly gone. Our grade is MS60. Pop 2; 1 in 65; 1 in 66. Only 4 graded at PCGS for the variety. DWH #1711 (PCGS # 37228) .
