1848 N-40 R3 Repunched 18 EF40. Sharpness near AU50 cleaned and retoned frosty bluish steel with faded red in protected areas on both sides. The only mark is a faint hairline scratch on the cheek. LDS, die state c, with a small but clear rim cud under the 48. The cud does not reach up to the base of the dentils, a rare intermediate state of this cud break. The repunching on the 18 remains clear. Removed from an NGC slab graded Unc Details, improperly cleaned (NGC label included).
