Lot 524

1851 N-26 R4 PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous mellowing mint red fading to olive brown and steel with 25% of the red remaining. The only marks, and they are barely visible with a glass, are a tick on the front end of the eyebrow, a speck of dark toning on the upper left point of star 10, and a couple extremely faint scuffs around ME in AMERICA. MDS, die state b late. The two points from the main curl over the inner curl are faint, nearly gone. This cent offers great eye appeal. Our grade is MS62, tied for CC#5 honors in the Grellman census. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Tucker provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 2 finer, 1 in 64+, 1 in 65 for the variety. Estimate Value $850 - UP
