1858. NGC graded Proof 67. This is a rare early proof issue and one of the finest seen of this low mintage date. The surfaces are virtually perfect. Both sides show lovely golden toning and the strike is bold throughout. The lower left star border shows the expected shallow lines where part of this device was virtually lapped away by the mint and is seen on all of these early Proofs and diagnostic. A splendid example of this prized date. Only 210 minted. Pop 3; 4 finer at NGC. Estimated Value $12,000 - UP
