Lot 500

1804 S-266b R5 PCGS graded VF20. Slightly glossy chocolate and olive brown mixed with reddish steel brown. The surfaces are decent but there are areas of microscopic roughness mixed with specks of shallow verdigris on both sides (but not enough to result in a "Genuine" rating from PCGS). The only notable marks are a few diagonal hairlines in the field under the tip of the chin. The date is strong and the legends are clear. Rare MDS Breen state III, with a cud break on RTY but none at MERIC. A decent example of this tough intermediate die state. Our grade is VF20+ sharpness net F12. Estimate Value $6,000 - UP

Realized $7,050
