Lot 495

1845 N-9 R2 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Frosty light olive and steel brown with traces of faded mint red showing on the obverse. An attractive cent with just a few trivial marks. The notable ones are a shallow nick over star 2, a couple microscopic ticks on the nose, and a speck of carbon nestled between two dentils over the R in AMERICA. Nicely struck MDs, die state b, with die cracks on the reverse but no rim cud. Our grade is MS60, tied for CC#10 in the Grellman census. Estimate Value $400 - UP

Realized $499
