1848 N-1 R1 Repunched Date PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty medium chocolate brown and steel. A nice cent with mint state eye appeal showing only a trace of rub on the highest points around the ear. The only notable marks are a nearly vertical nick-like planchet flake in the field off the chin and a tiny low spot at the dentil tips over star 3. MDS, die state b. Repunching is clearly visible on the 4 but only traces of repunching remain visible on the 1 & first 8. Our grade is AU55+. The attribution and Tucker provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 65 for the variety. Estimate Value $350 - UP
