Good U.S. Military Model 1795/1808 Flintlock Musket. United States, c. 1812. The nicely crafted Service Contract musket with 41-1/2" round smoothbore barrel. U.S arsenal proof marks on barrel, and Eagle over US on lock. Lock also with names, "CANTON, 1812" and "R & C LEONARD." The wood stock shows normal moderate wear and use, and is overall sound, with good eye appeal. Musket has been reconverted back to its original configuration, and is complete with standard regulation iron furniture, steel rod, shoulder sling hardware. Length: 56-3/4". A handsome, fully operational early American long arm.
