MacArthur, Douglas: Typed Letter Signed Boasting a Large Pristine Signature of the WWII General (1880-1964) Typed letter signed by WWII General Douglas MacArthur in 1955. Letter, dated February 28,1955, was sent from MacArthur's home in New York to a Mr. G.E. Nelson. ''Dear Mr. Nelson, Thank you so much for your birthday greeting. I appreciate it deeply. It made my day a brighter one, indeed.'' MacArthur signs ''Most cordially, Douglas MacArthur'' in blue fountain pen ink. 8'' x 10''. Excellent condition. With original envelope.
Bonus: Oversized commemorative cover on the occasion of his 100th Anniversary that contains a 50 centavos coin from the Philippines with the image of MacArthur on the obverse and emblazoned on the cover; "I Shall Return". Estimated Value $500 - 800
