Eight (8) Oversized Musical Quotations and One Signed Check: Leopold Stokowski, a Rare Ferde Grofe, John Williams, Henry Mancini, E. Blake. Fantastic collection of autographed musical quotations signed, all oversized and on signed piece.
1.) Check signed by the great Leopold Stokowski dated March 3, 1944 in choice condition boasting his bold signature in black fountain pen ink.
2.) Rare Ferde Grofe musical quotation of "On the Trail" from his "Grand Canyon Suite". Grofe was an American composer and arranger known for his orchestral works as well as for his pioneering role in establishing the sound of big band dance music. 8 x 10" sheet, large musical quotation and bold signature executed in black fountain pen ink. Provenance, Roger Gross Ltd.
3.) Henry Mancini AMQS of the Pink Panther theme on 9 x 8" sheet signed boldly by Henry Mancini and dated May, 1979.
4.) John Williams AMQS of "JAWS" theme. 7 x 10" card stock with the extra bonus of also being autographed by Peter Benchley, author of JAWS with quick autograph caricature signed of a great white shark. (The beach stickers add a fun touch but easily removed)
5.) Eubie Blake AMQS on blue stock executed in blue Sharpie. 6 x 9"
6.) Peter Menin American composer and longtime President of Julliard and gorgeous AMQS on Julliard School letter head dated 1972.
7.) Paul Fetler AMQS from his Second Violin Concerto First Movement beautifully executed on his personal letterhead 11 x 7"
8.) Victor Herbert AMQS with portrait dated April 1903 "Hero and Leader" beautifully executed in black fountain pen. Mat has overall toning but inks are very bold. 11 x 14"
9.) Mark Hambourg Russian-British pianist with fine musical quotation and signature on Pwllycrochan Hotel, North Wales. Estimated Value $600 - 900
