1795 S-77 R3 Plain Edge F12. Slightly sharper but there are a few rim bruises on both sides, the notable ones being over the R in LIBERTY and the first S in STATES. Otherwise there are only minor contact marks consistent with the grade. The surfaces are smooth, free of corrosion or verdigris. Glossy olive brown with lighter brown toning on the highpoints. LDS Breen state V, with die cracks on the reverse and obvious swelling at MER in AMERICA. The date is bold. Struck on a slightly overweight planchet weighing 174.8 grains versus the thin planchet standard of 168.0 grains. Estimate Value $500 - UP
