Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. Gold Stater (8.61g) minted at Sidon. Dated RY 13 of Abdalonymos (321/320 BC), struck under Laomedon. Head of Athena right wearing a crested Corinthian helmet adorned with a coiled serpent and wearing a necklace. Reverse: Nike (Victory) standing left holding a wreath and stylis; date "N" below left wing. Price 3500. Some doubling on the reverse. Sharply struck, well-centered obverse. Nearly Mint State.
