1898. PCGS graded Proof 67 Deep Cameo. A blazing white gem that shows amazing depth between the deep mirror fields and the highly frosted devices. Greater contrast can not be imagined, and this one was struck at the absolute pinnacle of maximum contrast coins in the late 1890s at the Philadelphia Mint. Furthermore the surfaces are essentially perfect, with only a few minute ticks from handling over the last 122 years. Miraculous quality frankly, and precious few from the modest original mintage can compare. If you want an elegant superb gem, with knock you over contrast, then look no further than this coin!
