1855 Liberty Seated Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 64. A gorgeous creamy white brilliant proof example. The mirrors are quite deep and exceptionally choice. We note some trivial light hairlines but most of these appear to be on the holder and not on the coin. Although no mint records were kept for proofs of this year, it is safe to assume that the number struck was less than 100. PCGS reports 8 in this grade with 2 better by a point. The Mike Magdic collection of proof Seated Dollars lacked this date (PCGS # 6998) .
