18 Historic Relics, Independence Hall, Jessie James Monument, Stone Montain Memorial, Sutter's Fort & More. A fantastic collection of authentic relics from America's past, a show and tell of history. Collection includes: 1.) Rectangular and numbered fragment from beam in Independence Hall in presentaion box with COA 2.) Marble off the Jessie James Monument in Kearney, Missouri.This piece is tagged from 1913 on an aged Western Union address card, identifying the fragment written in black fountain pen ink 3.) Single brick California State Capitol (1860), Hand-forged nail from the home of John Marshall 4.) Key To The City of Boston from Mayor James Curley in 1930 for the Tercentenary made of historic 200 year-old elm in Lexington, 5.) Cedar knife from a tree on the grounds of Beauvoir House in Biloxi, Miss. the Jefferson Davis Shrine, 6.) Wood From Delta Queen's Paddle Wheel, 7.) A gavel, souvenir horseshoes (dated 1941, 1942 and 1945) and a block of wood all identified as wood or commemoratives of Sutter's Fort 8.) Two pieces of granite from the Confederate Monument in Stone Mountain with brass shields of the sculpture, one dated 1929, 9.) Piece of wood from the Old Stockade in Andersonville Cemetery, 10.) Wood siding from Admiral Dewey's birth home, 11.) Brick from Heavilon Hall Tower from Purdue removed 1956, 12.) Myrtle wood bowl from dedication of Mt.Hood Timberline Lodge in 1937 by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 13.) Two relics related to GONE WITH THE WIND marble from the Loew's Grand Theater where it premiered, but destroyed in a fire in 1978, with brass plate identifying the provenance. The other relic is a fragment of burned siding from the home of Margaret Mitchell taken in 1996 in Atlanta with hand notation. 14.) Not from America but a certified piece of the Rock of Gibralter, actually fashioned by a craftsman into the point which was a premium given to the Conference of Mayors in 1971 as a gift from Prudential, in lucite with COA.
