Lot 395
1823/2 N-1 R2 Overdate 3 over 2 PCGS graded XF40. Slightly glossy dark chocolate brown and steel delicately mottled with lighter brown on both sides. No roughness and the only notable mark is a fine, old scratch in the field off the chin to over star 1. There is some dirt in protected places on both sides but overall this is a nice example of the variety. EDS before any dentil fusing on the obverse. The overdate feature is clear. Our grade is VF35+ sharpness net VF30. The overdate feature is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $2,500 - UP
