1856 N-14 R1 Italic 5 PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty medium chocolate and steel brown. The only notable mark is a dull, light nick on the nose even with the bottom of the eye. M-LDS, die state b. The fields are covered with microscopic radial die flowlines and the short dash under the 8 is gone. The strike is better than usual for this variety with only minor weakness on the coronet over LIB. Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Iskra provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Pop 2; 4 finer at PCGS for the variety, 3 in 64, 1 in 64+. Estimated Value $200-UP
