Lot 374
1854 C-1 R1+ NGC graded MS63 Red & Brown. Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown and olive with at least a third of the original mint color remaining. No spots or stains, and the eye appeal of this half cent is outstanding. The only marks are some thin nicks in the field under star 8. Sharply struck E-MDS, Manley state 1.0 late. The repunching left of the base of the 1 is visible and the lump has not formed on the I in UNITED. Our grade is MS63, same as the NGC grade. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Pop 18; 73 graded higher NGC for MSRB. Estimated Value $400 - UP
