Vespasian, 69-79 AD. Gold Aureus (7.31g), Rome, struck 75-79 AD. Laureate head right. Reverse: Fortuna stands left on garland-draped altar, holding rudder and cornucopia; FORTVNA AVGVST. RIC 123; C. 172; Calico 631. Perfectly centered and tack sharp, with a choice portrait and high relief devices. An edge bump at 5:00 o'clock, plus a couple other small edge marks. An attractive coin! Choice Extremely Fine.
