Nero, 54-68 AD. Gold Aureus (7.30 g), Rome, struck c. 65-66 AD. Scarce. Laureate head right. Reverse: Jupiter enthroned left, holding fulmen and scepter; IVPPITER CVSTOS. RIC 52; BMCRE 67; C. 118; Cayon 412b. Sharp and finely centered, on virtually round flan. Elegant style front and back, the reverse especially so for this series. Clean fields and residual luster. Extremely Fine.
