Antoninus Pius, AD 138-161. Gold Aureus (7.2 g) minted at Rome, AD 148-149. Bare head right of Antoninus Pius. Reverse: Aequitas standing left, holding scales and cornucopiae. RIC 177a; BMC 646; Calicó 1498. A marvelous example of exquisite style, struck in high relief. Lustrous and superb. Virtually Mint State.
