Seleucid Kingdom. Demetrios II. 1st Reign, 145-138 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.39). Antioch mint, dated Year 167 (146/145 BC). Diademed head right. Reverse: Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, palm at left; monogram at knee, regnal date ZΞP (167) and monogram in exergue. Newell, SMA 203 var.; Houghton 215 var. Obverse a little off center, but with charming youthful portrait, and especially bold Apollo on reverse. Handsome coin. Faintly toned and lustrous. Extremely Fine.
