Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.21 g), Amphipolis mint. Struck under Kassander, Philip IV, or Alexander (son of Kassander), circa 315-294 BC. Head of Herakles right wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, Λ above torch; below throne, dolphin right. Price 485; Muller 73. Bold portrait, well detailed. Faintly toned, with considerable luster. Extremely Fine.
