Thurium, c. 400-350 BC. AR Double Nomos (15.61g). Helmeted head of Athena right, the helmet's bowl decorated with Skylla right, her left hand raised; in left field, IΔ. Reverse: Bull butting right; in exergue, fish to right. Noe, Thurian F28 (same dies); SNG ANS 969; Jameson 359 (same dies); Pozzi 229 (same dies). Faint graffiti (possibly Umbrian 'dede' = 'gave') in obverse field. Elegant later art; well struck, and finely centered on ample flan. Nicely toned. Nice Very Fine.
