Miró, Joan. Chemin de Ronde I. Joan Miró (1893-1983) One of the most celebrated Spanish abstract artists of the 20th Century. Offered here a lovely, lyrical lithograph boasting his usual elgant handling of texture, symbols, line, and color. An airy, grainy texture as spotted as a distant view of the Milky Way galaxy fills the vibrant shapes, as these weightless arrows, lines, and circle effortlessly drift through the universe, passing the moon, sun, and stars. Created in 1966, this color etching, aquatint, and tooled rhodoid on Rives paper and printed by Levallois-Perret Maeght, Paris. Lithograph is hand signed in pencil by Joan Miró in the lower right corner and numbered in pencil on the left 32/50. Image size 13¾" x 10½" sheet size 22½" x 17" matted and framed to 28" x 24½".
Estimated Value $2,000 - 4,000.
