1796 S-85 R5- Liberty Cap Fair-2+. Rather glossy medium chocolate and olive brown mottled with some lighter brown toning on both sides. The highpoints are smooth while the fields and protected areas show minor roughness. No verdigris but there is an obvious horizontal scratch across the obverse. EDS, Breen state I. The wreath stems are strong and complete. The date is weak but easily readable and LIBERTY is strong while about half the legends on the reverse remain visible. Estimate Value $250 - UP
