1883 Hawaiian Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-61. Lustrous frosty light gray surfaces with bold highlights. Nearly full hair and beard details on the king. A truly original Mint State specimen of a fashionable U.S.-connected issue from the Pacific Ocean kingdom of Hawaii. A total of 500,000 minted, but 257,400 redeemed and melted after Hawaii landed in the stable of Territories in the early part of the 20th century.
