1652 Massachusetts Pine Tree Threepence Noe-34 R4 NGC graded MS63. Type with Pellets at Trunk. Glossy dark gray with lighter silvery gray toning on the devices and hints of mint frost in protected areas. Nicely centered, better than most seen of this variety that always has the obverse misaligned to the top. No marks or other defects. Superior to either of the examples of the variety in the Ford collection, and it comes with the legendary Eliasberg provenance. Weight 18.0 grains.
