Q. Fabius Maximus, moneyer. AR Denarius minted at Rome, 127 BC. Helmeted head right of Roma; below chin, XVI in monogram. Reverse: Cornucopiae in front of horizontal thunderbolt; around, wreath. Sear 141; Fabia 5; Cr. 265/1; Syd. 478. Flan fault behind head of Roma. Toned. Very Fine.

The reverse type may represent the successes of Q. Fabius Maximus Aemilianus (consul 145 BC) against the Lusitani in Hispania.
