Lot 322

1843-O Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. This is the finest example graded by PCGS, and it is alone as the sole MS-64 they've seen. NGC has only graded 2 this high, one is from the Eliasberg collection, and the Eliasberg Large O of this date has been graded NGC MS-65. The surfaces are toned a lovely sunset gold on the obverse, and the strike is decent considering the rusted obverse die and the multiple die cracks on the reverse. An exciting coin, and a date that is virtually unheard of in mint state grades. In an old green insert PCGS holder, number 1577169.
Estimated Value $5,000-UP.

Realized $7,475
