Lot 318
1809/6 C-5 R1 Overdate 9 over Inverted 9 AU58+. The obverse is lustrous chocolate brown and steel with ample mint red showing in protected areas; the reverse is a frosty slightly darker shade of chocolate brown and olive with light bluish steel overtones. The only "defect" is a very thin layer of crud covering the fields on the reverse and dulling the mint luster on that side. The obverse is choice mint state with outstanding luster and eye appeal. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0 late. The undertype inverted 9 is clear. Estimate Value $600 - UP
