1828 Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. 25 over 50¢. Fine-15. Always in demand for the rare over-denomination reverse. Apparently the die engraver thought he was working on a half dollar die and engraved the 50 C denomination, then realized this was a quarter, and "corrected" the mistake by punching over the error with the proper 25. Light gray and natural in appearance, with trouble free wear. This one is nearly VF in grade, and would make an excellent compromise between the much more expensive price required for a slightly better coin grade wise. Always in great demand as this is a Guide Book variety, as well as popular type selection.
