Warring States. 300-220 BC, AE "Ming Si" (4.9 g, 27.9 mm). Also known as "Yan Si", "Yi Si" or "Si Si". Characters on the obverse while the back is totally flat. Pleasing solid green patina on both sides. Extremely Rare. Very Fine.
Issued by the State of Yan during the late period of Warring States. The state was declining and the weight of coins were being reduced. There were three major types in this period, "Ming Si" was issued in the largest format and smallest amount. A highly sought-after coin for type collectors. Estimated Value $750 - UP
