1797 C-2 R3 PCGS graded XF45. Choice glossy chocolate brown and steel with traces of frosty lighter steel brown faded down from mint color in a couple of the most-protected areas. There is a faint spot of slightly darker toning in the field left of the top of the cap and a splash of similar toning at TATES. The only contact mark is a tiny nick hidden in the dentils right of the tip of the nose. Nicely struck MDS displaying subtle swelling from CA to the fraction. Our grade is EF40+ with great eye appeal for the grade, close to EF45. A premium example of the variety. Weight 83.8 grains. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer, 1 in 55, 1 in 63, 1 in 66 for the variety. Estimate Value $5,000 - UP
