1839 N-13 R2 Booby Head NGC graded MS65 Brown. Frosty steel brown and light chocolate with slightly darker steel brown toning inside the wreath. The only marks, and they are barely visible under magnification, are a minor planchet lamination that connects the upper part of the hair bun to star 10 and an extremely tiny hairline scratch near the dentils just right of the date. Sharply struck LDS with die cracks meandering through NITED STATES. Our grade is MS60+. NGC population for Booby Head type 16; 9 finer, 8 in 66, 1 in 67.
