Spencer Tracy's Screen Worn, Period Appropriate Jacket from DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE. Spencer Tracy (1900-1967) considered one of the greatest actors of Hollywood's Golden Era winning two Academy Awards from nine nominations. In 1941 he co-starred with Ingrid Bergman under the direction of Victor Fleming (Gone With The Wind) in a remake of the 1931 version of DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE based on Robert Louis Stevenson's novella. Film is very well regarded as a showcase for the talents of Bergman and Tracy and superb production values.
Offered is a screen worn jacket by custom clothier Eddie Schmidt, Inc. of Beverly Hills with sewn label inside coat pocket with the name Spencer Tracy and dated 1/20/41. Jacket is brown wool, with matching wool buttons boasting a very distinct detail to each sleeve 5 inches from cuffs and a double pleated jacket vent.
