1815 Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. Here is a rare coin in this grade, NGC has graded only 3 this high, with 5 graded higher of this date, while PCGS has only graded 1 example as MS-65 of this date, with a single coin higher, in MS-66 at the top from that service. Toned with lovely russet gold on the obverse, fading to deeper blue gray at the rims, the strike is full and sharp, while the luster is undisturbed. This is the first year of issue of the new Capped bust series, and a coin that has few equals in its grade. A condition rarity that will be the highlight of an advanced type collection.
