1838 N-11/13 R4 (as a die state) PCGS graded AU55. Glossy medium steel brown very delicately woodgrained with lighter steel brown. The surfaces are satiny smooth and nearly void of marks or other defects. A pair of thin parallel nicks left of the date and a single fine nick under the right point of star 7 are the only notable marks, and they are trivial. Rare LDS with a strong cud break left of star 1 that nearly touches that star. Not seen by Noyes. Our grade is EF45 Choice and third finest known of the die state. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #37210. Pop 2; 4 graded higher at PCGS for the variety, 2 in 63, 1 in 64, 1 in 65. Estimated Value $750 - UP
