MacArthur, Douglas & Chester Nimitz. First Day Cover Signed, "Douglas MacArthur" and "C W Nimitz," with a 3-cent stamp honoring Army servicemen and cancelled in Washington, D.C. on the first day of issue, September 28, 1945. Affixed to the envelope is a picture of the surrender ceremony aboard the Missouri, showing China signing. Nimitz signed in black ink, vertically along the left edge, and MacArthur signed in blue ink in the white area.
