1964-D Kennedy Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-67. Nicely toned on the obverse. Old-timers remember when these were first released by the banks, early in 1964. Often, there was a quota of two coins per person. But none looked like this colorful beauty. Doubtless, it traces to a Mint Set, judging by the superb surfaces. The first coins released by the banks were bright shiny white surfaced. Only over 40-plus years has the coin acquired its prestigious toning. Pop 10; 1 finer in 67 star (PCGS # 6707) .
