1839 Capped Bust Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-61. Well struck and toned. A frosted example of the two-year "HALF DOL." type. A fair degree of mint luster spins slowly beneath rich highlights of old-silver gray patina. Devices nicely struck with just a modicum of weakness at a few stars and the tops of the letters in the legend at upper right (PCGS # 6179) .
