Great Britain. Pound (20 Shillings), ND. S.2534; Fr-214. Elizabeth I, 1558-1603. Fifth coinage. Mint mark, Woolpack (1594-6). Crowned old bust of Queen left in richly ornamented dress and profusion of long hair. Reverse: Crowned shield, E R at sides. Struck on a large flan and showing bold legends with an exceptionally well defined detailed portrait. Definition of this specimen is extraordinary, thus rare. NGC graded AU-50.
